According to a survey conducted in 2015, Los Angles is one of the most termite infested areas in USA!

That means, if you live in or around Los Angeles you have the highest possibility of a termite infestation and your home may need a termite damage repair.
How to check for Termites: Before a floorboard or a beam in your house breaks, it is good to check for signs of a termite infestation.

Mud Tubes: Trough mud tubes termites travel from different sources of food slowly. Termites require quite a bit of humidity to survive and these tunnels give them an environment they can thrive in. Check your foundation, pipes, and crawl spaces for tubes against a wall, coming up from the floor or hanging from above. They can be quite small and are usually a grey, brown or a rusty red color.

Closed Construction Joints: As mentioned above, termites like humidity, if there are cracks in construction joints leading to their nest, then they will seal those joints with the same material they use to create their mud tubes.

Damaged wood: You will rarely see direct wood damage because termites do not like being exposed to the open air. However, check for swollen floors and ceilings and buckling wood as these can be telltale signs of an infestation. There is also the possibility of taping the wood to find problems in its integrity but this can be hard to do unless you are a trained professional.
